- Editor's Notes
- Without any apology for my intrusion[?], I beg to submit the following idea to you, which, if [-----], has money in it. ##An electric wire inserted under the crystal of a watch, or clock, etc., which, upon the pressure of a spring, or the moving of a slide, shall illuminate the face[?] and enable [-----] [------] etc., to tell the time in the darkest places. [TAE Marg.:] Don't think it can be done electrically so as to be practical. Balsams Illuminated paint has been used in this country. The creation[?] of light on the material causes it to phosphoresce[?] all night so you can tell time of day in a dark room[?].
