- I am not a man of science nor an inventor and it may be that I shall make myself ridiculous by this note. Still, it is barely possible that in the midst of your multifarious enterprises, this may be possible and yet never have occurred to you: Would it not be possible to make a dynamo of sufficient power for one incandescent lamp, run by improved clockwork within the limits of say one or two feet square, that could be sold for a sufficiently moderate sum as to be within the reach of people of moderate means? An ornamental lamp to surmount the box in which the dynamo would be concealed? [TAE Marg.:] "not practicable just yet"
