- [Telegram of The Franklin Institute] I have been requested to write the Articles on Telegraphy and Telephony fo rthe Appendix to the Encyclopedia Britannica. As I desire to give prominence to the work of American inventors, I will be very much obliged for such papers and references as you can send me. ##My desire to avoid injustice or neglect will prove my excuse for thus trespassing on your good nature.
