- Enclosed find bill from Evans[?] for corn and turpentine. Also bill from Towles and Hendry for corn and oil. Enclosed find receipt for money I paid Gus Johnson. ##He had 12 days time at $1.75 per day ($21.00). ##The weather is nice, not much rain and not any mosquitos to speak of. ##The bill of Towles and Hendry's was the only one I could find against the company up to the time I got here.
