- Title
- [D8627ZAN2], Agreement, Edison Machine Works, Charles T Porter, November 1886
- Editor's Notes
- [Variant version of D8627ZAN and D8627ZAN1.] Another version of the agreement between Porter and the Machine Works concerning the manufacture and sale of the Porter Engine by the Machine Works. Contains various typed and handwritten marginalia and changes to the agreement, but is substantially the same as the agreement as described in D8627ZAM, D8627ZAF, etc. Does spell out Porter's role in guiding the manufacturing process more specifically and makes minor adjustments to the royalty provision (states 5% of the price paid by users, except that engines employed to drive the Edison Dynamos shall have the royalty computed upon the price received therefor by the said Machine Company, the same being sold by them on the same terms and condistions as to price on which the dynamos and motors are sold by them; appears to be a possible resolution to the "syndicate issue" (see D8627ZAM)).
