- [One-page handwritten letter, Paris to New York] Transcription: "I have the honor to send you enclosed Circular of an Exhibition [Enclosure is D8632B], which will open on the 1st August next, and in which the Electricity will have a large part. ## It would be a great honor for the promoters of the same, if you would make us the favor of exhibiting some of your marvelous inventions ## Hoping you will excuse the liberty of my asking in consider[at]ion of this Science to which you have so much contributed[.]" [The final dozen or so words of the letter are written in French. Dan Weeks has translated these lines as a salutation.]]
