[One-page handwritten note, Paris to New York. Written in French, followed by English translation] Transcription: "Nothing could be more pleasant to me as the receipt of your kind letter of Nov. 11th, which was presented to me by Mr. Napoleon Ney. ## The important part which you promised to take in the Exhibition of of 1889 is an honor to France, and I hope that you will come to Paris to enjoy your success. ## Please accept, Dear Mr. Edison, the assurance of our distinguished sentiments."
