Title
[D8634G], Letter from Samuel Insull to Herman C Fechheimer, February 8th, 1886
Editor's Notes
I object to the clause in the agreement that refers to the guarantee of at least 1000 lines the first year; 2000 lines the second year, and 3000 lines the third year; if I exceed 1000 lines the first year, the overage should be applied to the second year; I undertook to get 6000 lines of new business in three years, and contract should reflect that; I should be able to offer leases for three years or less, depending on the market; my commission on 3-year leases should be 50% on the first year; 15 % on subsequent years. [Includes many other objections to the proposed contract]
