Title
[D8639L], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Paul W Bossart, May 17th, 1886
Editor's Notes
[LETTERHEAD: New Hotel Lafayette, Phila.] Maver says his end of the quad was knocked out by inserting a magnet at this end. I had a 150 ohm relay--50 ohms less resistance than you had, but you didn't affect us on this end. Sent for another coil to test if our battery really knocks the quad out. If so, can compensate in the bridge. "Double coil business is simply immense" and a necessity on this circuit. A magnet in the bridge should fix things. Ask TAE about it and get what is needed from the lab.
