- Returned from Chicago last Sunday evening to find phonoplex in same condition [see D8639W]; condensers sent from Topeka work no better than the old ones; believe the condensers improperly made, thus prefer the circuit remain as is till perfect condensers can be had.###Escape in No. 2 wire was in Ottawa Office through condenser to the ground, also through condenser at Chnaute; "No. 2 wire working all right" after condensers were cut out.###Hope you can come out for day or two and fix things.###Received several communications from other RRs about your system; explained that circuit not working due to imperfect condensers; would write them of result once perfect condensers received with "my opinion of the practicability of the system throughout."
