Title
[D8640B], Letter from George A Mason to Samuel Insull, January 20th, 1886
Editor's Notes
I think there is a way to get the Edison Gower-Bell shares on the market; they are now unsalable at any price; yesterday a gentleman with 2000 shares offered to sell them to me at 2/-- per share; "have arranged with some of my friends here to work them up provided we get control of enough to make it an object"; If TAE "will give me a 3 month option on 1/2 of his shares at 1/-- per we will take over what we can get here and try the thing"; he likely could then sell the balance of his shares at 8/-- to 10/--.###My friends won't move unless we have 1/2 of TAE's shares on these terms; "Several large holders here are in the matter but won't move without I get this."###If accepted wire "yes" and confirm by letter; state number of shares "and as they have not yet been transferred to Mr. E. state holders' names.
