Title
[D8704ACY], Letter from John Alfred Brashear to Thomas Alva Edison, September 28th, 1887
Editor's Notes
[JNO. A. Brashear, Manufacturer of Telescopes, Spectroscopes, Diffraction Grating Plates and General Optical Apparatus] Would like to contribute an instrument gratis to the new lab simply in order to be represented there, perhaps a concave grating spectroscope for photographing the solar and other spectra--"one of the latest triumphs of spectroscopic work"--a Great Lick Spectroscope, or one of our polarizing solar eye pieces."
