Carman, General and Commission Dealer in Timber, Piles, Dock Logs, &c.] Can't accept the position you have offered; it is necessary for me to live near the lab; just now, though, it would be impossible for me to move from here since I have to look after my own property and the estate of my father; you can get good men at the salary you offer me or even less, "yet it would not pay me to move to Orange"; still, I appreciate the offer and if you know of any other position in NY or Newark that I could fill, I'd be obliged.
