- Editor's Notes
- Just received yours of the 10th; was out of work when I wrote, but found employment for which I had to sign a contract till Jan. 1, 1888, before receiving your reply, which at first I didn't want to do because I expected word from you; but I took the job because I needed the money and didn't think the factory would be ready by Jan. 1.###I'm disappointed to lose the opportunity but must stand by my agreement; if the position is open after Jan. 1, "I would be with you on short notice."###Will try to get a job with your electric light company in Boston; enclosed is a stamp for you to reply if the job remains open.
