- "I have all but perfected an arrangment for counting railroad cars, but need some advice on the electrical part of the contrivance, and being ignorant concerning that part of science I beg to ask, if there be any way in which I could bring the article to your notice. I feel satisfied that with the help of a person education in electricity &c. it could be made a great success. I have written of the qualities of the article to the Gilbert and Pullman Car Cos. both of which concerns, have asked me to bring it before them for inspection. Trusting that I may hear from you in the matter I beg to remain" Marginalia by TAE: "Johnny Say I am at home every eveninig at Orange after 7:30 pm"
