- "We are sending you by express today a sample of Palm Fibre that we have in store, and which may possibly be of use to you in the manufacture of Carbon for the Electric light. ## We understand that this fibre is used to a considerable extent in Europe for this purpose and we enclose a newspaper clipping for your perusal. ## Should the fibre prove to b suitable for your experiments we should be pleased to dispose of our invoice to you and to make arrangements to supply your future wants with this material"
