Title

[D8736ABI], Letter from Sprague Electric Railway and Motor Co, Frank Julian Sprague to Edward Hibberd Johnson, April 11th, 1887

Editor's Notes

"My note of the [--] branch gave ample explanation of [--] work. Mr. Insull gives me the lie direct, and I will see him damned before I will give heed any explanation and in the [-------] state of affairs and further where you have no right on his representation to tell me that I am playing you fast and loose. ## I now insist on your giving such time as is necessary to investigate our relations with the Edison Machine Works and the exact condition of our work, not for Mr Insull's benefit but for your own and Mr. Batchelor's satisfaction. If you want I will give you the exact facts, in [------] but I will [---]t give Mr. Insull anything in answer to his letter of April 7-- . He is neither judge nor jury for me, and I will not permit his impertinant investigation of the affairs of this company."
