Telegram: Coded version: "Go to Defraud ask them to ship by by American express today sure appeal annual in Abandon and Abate dollar bills shipment to be made to deny for our account wire me what you do and I will send check to Defraud for the amount today or they can draw on us whichever you arrange-- small bills are so scarce here we cannot get enough meet payroll when seeing Defraud show them this telegram also your code as it may facilitate matters" Decoded version: Go to Germania Bank ask them to ship by American Express today sum $1500. in $1 and $2 bills shipment to be made to Schenectady Bank for our account wire me what you do and I will send check to Germania for the amount today or they can draw on us whichever you arrange small bills are so scarce here we cannot get enough to meet pay roll when seeing Germania Bank show them this telegram also your code as it may facilitate matters."
