- Title
- [D8736ACP], Letter from Samuel Insull to Thomas Alva Edison, June 28th, 1887
- Editor's Notes
- "Phelps, Dodge & Co. write us--'We have had so much trouble and annoyance in endeavoring to import sheet iron, that at present it would be impossible for us to name a price for the size you want delivered at Schenectady in car load lots.' This is the second time that we have received from them within the last week, practically a refusal to bid on the sheet iron. At first I presumed to misunderstand them and asked them to send to England for prices, but there is no mistaking their second letter."
