Title
[D8736ADN], Letter from Samuel Insull to Alfred Ord Tate, August 8th, 1887
Editor's Notes
Enclosed with D8736ADM. "Do you know Alexander Lang? He is with the Rome Locomotive Works and applies to us for a position as draughtsman. He states that he was under a Mr. Street in Virginia, who is now dead, but refers us to Mr. Blackwell, now of the Union Pacific Railroad, who, if I mistake not, is the gentleman under whom you were working in Virginia; it is this that suggests the idea to me of writing to ask you whether you know anything about Mr. Lang."
