"Last Winter I took a trip down through the [-]ast Julia Island and as far Venezuela S. A. One of the cities I visited [---] discussing the [----]ed [-]f p[--]ting in Gass. Having been at your works a year ago when you cho[----]d the Julia [---]cly in [-------] to that [-----] saw what you were doing with Electricity as an illuminating [-----] -- Meeting with [----] if the public men in this city who are interested in having their [----] [------] I told them of this wonderful improvement [---] making and not to be in a hurry as you were perfecting the Electric light and in my judgment this was the most economical light and for their climate much cheaper & better than gass. ## I am now in receipt of the city ordinance granting these parties a c[---]p[-]r for lighting the places with Electricity for 21 years They also sent me a statement of the [------] of lights which they would probably require My friends write me that they can get most of the stock taken there I would be please to ascertain the cost of the plant to light this plase as for schedule enclosed.-- Say price for cas delivered with Experts to put it up probable time it would tak -- Should be pleasure to have the estimate to I could send it by the steamer of the 2[-]th. I go to [------] to night bt expect to return Wednesday -- and will call on you if necessary -- Please in your Estimate figure a commssian to me of 5%" Enclosure: D8741AAB.
