"It is cold again to-day, the weather has been very bad so far this month. I broke a shade to your best parlor lamp therer is no extra one here. Your taxes are due for 1886. they are $84.00 The assessors set the Place at $6,000. The Tax books close the 18th send money soon as possible as place will be advertised and sold if taxes are not paid before books close The Lightes (?) is finished and Hanington has taken it to use getting out Mangrove."
