Title
[D8755ACE], Letter from Arthur Edwin Kennelly to Thomas Alva Edison, December 14th, 1887
Editor's Notes
[Letterhead: From the Laboratory of Thomas A. Edison] In order to give the exact potential given by the transformer will require data from the dynamo and transformer, "so as to arrive at the form of the wave as it would leave the dynamo and the manner in which that wave would be utilized by the transformer, so that I cannot under the circumstances make myself responsible for my opinion." Thinks that the "drop of potential due to electrostatic effect apart from the extra-current magnets effect would amount to 20% over 2.5 knots or a reduction from 50 to 40 volts for the consumer's circuit."
