- [D8756ADA], Letter from Holyoke Machine Co, H J Fink to Thomas Alva Edison, October 7th, 1887
- Editor's Notes
- [Letterhead: Holyoke Machine Company] Acknowledges the order for the elevator and notes that they will have to make some changes to the US Electric Company's plans. They are going to have to use an iron grooved drum and wire cable instead of manilla ropes to place all the driving work in the basement. In order to do this they want to know if the well hole is made? If so, what size is it? How far down in the basement will the elevator go? They ask many other similar questions relating to the specifics of the work to be performed.
