Title
[D8803AAU], Letter from Robert Gilliland to Alfred Ord Tate, September 20th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"I wrote Mr. Edison some two weeks ago in regard to what was due me on the royalty of the mimeograph, but have heard nothing from him, he told me when I was there he would pay it the first of Sept. Which I supposed he would do unless he failed to get his money as he expected, I would like to know immediately when it would be paid, it is considerable over a year since Mr. Dick commenced paying the royalty and Mr. Edison says he supposed Mr. Dick was paying my share to me, he said he would direct Mr. Dick was paying my share to me, he said he would direct Mr. Dick to do so in the future which I wish you would see was done." Yours truly, Rob. Gilliland [Marginalia: "Check for $545.86 3/10/88"]
