- Editor's Notes
- "I take the pleasure with the following lines to inform you about a discovery I have made lately in the Metallurgical line which will be of universal use and value: it consists in the fact that I produce a metal which does not oxidize and even thoroughly resists the action of an acid sulpheric, muriatic, nitric dilute or concentrated all these have no effect upon it. Only nitromuriatic acid, which dissolved gold and Platinum is able to dissolve its color is between that of red and yellow gold; it does not contain any copper nor Aluminium and is not an alloy of a heavy its specific gravity is near to that of gold, it is the result of a new method of Electro-chemical action upon an elementary metals. I take the pleasure to direct myself to you as the most experienced businessman who knows to appreciate such discover and to sue and introduce it in the market. ### Wishing you would give man appointment for conversation with you about it in these next days (where and when I can meet you)." {TAE Marginalia:"Tell him to come any time."]
