- [D8805AGM], Letter from Charles Peters Mott to Thomas Alva Edison, September 16th, 1888
- Editor's Notes
- "Through the advise of yourself and others connected with your office, I placed $400 in one and one half share of Parent-Stock of your company. I have been anxious to hold the stock as an ultimate investment, but present [illeg] of funds prompt me to ask you to suggest a customer from whom I can get the first cash ($400.00). ### I saw no quotations of the stock and have no idea of its present value. ### Accept any congratulations on the perfection to which, I see, you have brought the Phonograph, as will as on improvement in other lines that I see by the papers you are from time to time making."
