- [D8805AKB], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Thomas Alva Edison, December 27th, 1888
- Editor's Notes
- "I enclose herewith two notes of the Edison Mach. Works, each for [unclear] which please endorse and return to me in attached envelope. ### I obtained these from Mr. Insull as I require money for the Laboratory and also for the Phonograph works. I will give the Phonograph works just sufficient money to carry them until your return next week, when we will have to decide upon some means of providing them with funds, until they commence to turn out machines, our $15,000 credit at the Orange Natl Bank being exhausted." Yours truly A.O. Tate
