I received a letter from E. G. Thomas in which he stated that you were in need of a draughtsman and I have ventured to write you asking for the position.## I graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology last May in the department of Mechanical Engineering. # My course of study there included among others the projects of machine design, draughting, the higher mathematics, Theoretical and Applied Mechanics and some work in Electricity. I am very much interested in the latter subject and have been taking a course of study in it this winter. ## I have been at work since leaving the Institute upon a series of hydraulic tests and calculations for the Wamesit Power Co. of this city. These are very nearly completed so that I think I should be at liberty to leave here whenever you might want my services. # Any personal letters of recommendation you might require I should have no difficulty in obtaining for you.
