- Editor's Notes
- Your favor of 18 inst is at hand for exhibit please accept thanks. My engagement with this [---] on May 1 [---] and before making up my mind to reengage in the telegraph business (which offers but little chance for advancement). I just think the idea of asking you if on your new lab you would have a place in which I could render myself valuable to you. My attention for some time has been diverted to telegraph management so that I am rarely in electrical technicalities yet I think by careful application I could soon master some branch of value. My record will stand the close inspection and I can refer you to E.P. Mother(?) , Ingersoll, A.B. Chamber, E. Landerbach and others for whatever their opinions may work. [new name mentions: E. P. Mother, A. B. Chamber, E. Landerbach] TAE marg: "Say that I will keep him in mind but that my working forces are full."
