- Editor's Notes
- Strickland has shown me a letter from you to Prof Clark Wronts(?) in reference the boys going down to you at some future time. # Young S is a splendid boy, full of originality and enthusiasm. He comes of a very good family -- the Stricklands of Lakefield, and will, if given an opportunity, give good satisfaction. I told him I had met you here and would drop you a line in his behalf. # I might add that he has taken a notion to telegraphy, and is now able, after a few months practice on a private line, which he ran to three or four neighboring houses, to handle messages in no mean style. He is an amateur photographer, has experimented with telephones etc, and is willing to work hard at anything which is connected in any way with electricity. {TAE marg: "Put him on the list."]
