- Editor's Notes
- In a letter dated May 25, your Private Secretary Tate promised me a position on the staff at your Phonograph Works. # Having several chances now, and desiring to secure the most advantageous I herewith leave to inquire what position you have contemplated and to assign to me and what the salary, [-------] therewith, will be. # I have endeavored several times to see Tate with a view of learning something about these points, but I never succeeded and the time when I will have to come to a decision, drawing near, I would respectfully request you to furnish the information applied you. Hoping you will have the kindness to comply with my request.
