Title
[D8814ADH], Letter from Edward K Landis to Thomas Alva Edison, August 7th, 1888
Editor's Notes
Birkinbine has shown me your letter of the 28th ult. Without knowing definitely as to the requirements of the position, I would not like to form an engagement without an interview. If you desire it I will call on you, if you will advise me what afternoon I can see you. # My compensation must necessarily be determined by circumstances, but I would not accept a position which did not pay me $2400 per annum. # I have had four years experience in the analysis of Iron Ores while chemist to the Pottstown Iron Co and think that my services would prove satisfactory to you. Hoping to hear from you soon. [New name mention: Pottstown Iron Co.]
