- Editor's Notes
- Referring to the interview I had with you in July 1887. Gilliland being also present; you were pleased to say: in answer to my application for some position under you in which I could perfect myself in Electrical work that upon completing of the Lab which you were then building I would be received as one of the apprentices in such Lab. # Last November (1887) I received a letter from Gilliland stating: that you would move into the Lab about the end of the month and as soon as well established you would be ready for the apprentices and then I would hear from you. # While thus most anxiously waiting, during all this time I have to the best of my ability and opportunities endeavored to learn all I could about Electricity and its workings. # Fearing that owing to your own pressing work, my application has been overlooked, I have taken the liberty again to call your attention to it. Hoping soon to hear favorably from you.
