Editor's Notes: Zahn has taken with me a course in inorganic and organic chemistry and some chapters of metalurgy. He has gone through a course of [----------] and quantitative analyses making analysis of salts, mixture ores and commensurate products. He has dedicated a full year to his studies and practical work having been in the lab on the average for 6 hours daily. # Zahn is in my opinion now competent to attend to analytical work in technical establishments and I have no doubt but he will easily master also such methods which he is not as familiar with.
