- Replying to your kind favor of October 9th. Of course one must know what position he is to fill and what is to be required of him before making a stipulation as to price -- The line of work which I am best fitted to do is strictly chemical. A position requiring skilled, investigations in this line is worth $1000-$1200 for the first year, and that is about what I should expect. I shall be glad to furnish you references if you require them. Regretting that my ambiguity caused an extra letter and awaiting your advice I remain.
