- Title
- [D8814AEZ], Letter from William Earl Hidden to Thomas Alva Edison, November 15th, 1888
- Editor's Notes
- Please me kind enough to write for me an autographic memento of the naming of the new mineral Edisonite. I want it to place among my papers referring to the various discoveries etc that have come out of the 1879 search for Platinum in the South in your interest.##I would also respectfully inform you that I am entirely out of employment and would be glad to serve you in any capacity that you can feel that I can satisfactorily serve you in. Outside of mineral matters I can, in my own way, do most anything that could be reasonably expected of a man to do. For what would be only a fair hiring salary I would be willing to give you my exclusive services for the next 12 months; say for $2000.00 per annum and the future to be determined by my usefulness to you or to your Cos. Tate marg: "Do you wish anything written in this connection?"
