Title
[D8818AFQ], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Daniel Addison Heald, February 29th, 1888
Editor's Notes
In reference to your letter of the 28th inst., addressed to Mr. Edison, I beg to say it is doubtful if we can dispose of any tickets of the N.Y. & Greenwood Lake R'y. Co. to the employees of this laboratory. A number of our men live in New York and come out here every morning and return at night. The time schedule of the N.Y. & Greenwood Lake R'y. Co. has been arranged for the convenience of tthose who live in the Oranges and go to New York during the day. As the men above referred to reverse this arrangement, there is practically no provision made, so far as I can see from the schedule, that would induce them to buy commutation tickets on the Greenwood Lake R'y. We will, however, be very glad to bring thte matter before them and advise you of the result.
