Title
[D8818AKC], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Albert Blake Dick, May 8th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"In reply to your letter 5th inst. [re: a coating for mimeograph paper] Mr. Edison asks me to give you the following information: Boil linseed oil down to the consistency of molasses, which takes a day. Coat the wax and then expose to the fumes or throw over it chloride of sulphur; experiment on glass plate till you get films of proper thinness, evenness and flexibility. The action of the sulphur on the oil is almost instantaneous when you do this."
