Title
[D8818ANH], Letter from Charles Batchelor to John H Wood, June 22nd, 1888
Editor's Notes
New name mention: A. O. Tate. Tate will be talking to you re the insurance of our new buildings for the Phonograph Works. Re these buildings I have designed and laid out for fire protection, besides the regular hydrants in the yard, about 500 sprinklers, which will be connected to the high pressure main running down the street. They will also be connected to our large Worthington pump, which can pump into the cistern in case the city water gives out. As this will cost the Company probably $2,500 over and above what we regularly do for fire purposes, take advantage of this in getting us much better rates of insurance. If this cannot be done, let me know, as we might decide not to do to such a heavy expense.
