Title
[D8818ANQ], Letter from Charles Batchelor to Henry M Livor, June 25th, 1888
Editor's Notes
On second consideration I think it better for us to receive the precision lathe with the countershaft made to screw against the steel instead of being a bracket to bolt against the wall. I see no necessity for the extra countershaft, and would therefore ask you to get for me from the manufacturer the diameter and speed of the pulleys on the countershaft that they furnish. These measurements are not given in the letter of Manning, Maxwell & Moore to you. As soon as I receive them I will give the order to the Machine Works for the main line pulleys for the same. # I send to Place to-day official order for wood turning lathes verbally ordered by you, as per your letter June 23d. I shall also send official order for grinding machine spoken of.
