- Title
- [D8818AOK], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Ezra Torrance Gilliland, July 3rd, 1888
- Editor's Notes
- New name mention: Fitch. Re: Fitch battery, in response to correspondence from Gilliland. Battery is insufficient for both TAE's requirements and "to the demands of a phonograph motor." References Kennedy's belief that "the chemical action (notion?) of the battery is not suited to the work under any conditions of extra plates or larger cells." If Fitch believes his battery sufficient enough, he can supply "the carbons and the excitant in what he deems to be sufficient quantity" for it to be given a "fair trial."
