- Title
- [D8818ARW], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to George Edward Gouraud, August 20th, 1888
- Editor's Notes
- Is a long document expressing dissatisfation with how Gouraud handled patents for many different countries, apparently in opposition to the express wishes of TAE and Dyer. Begins by stating, "Dyer & Sealy have refered to me you [sic.] letter under date 7th inst., in which you state that you fail to understand the object of your not applying for patents in short term countries in connection with phonograph improvemenets, and stating furthermore that you had made applications for patents in short term countries in the matter of cases 84 and 85." Rest of document spells out how Gouraud had already been advised on this matter and that he did not take that advice.
