"Enclosed we send you for execution by yourself and Mrs Edison, a deed to Mr Wates of the Pierce Place lot. On its return the matter can be closed at once. [unclear] as to the title developed a proponent against you as follows "I hae a Edison at [unclear] vs. Wister Union Telegraph Co Bill delivered with costs agt plaintiff No 6683 [unclear]" We enclose bill for same from the Co Clerk's office - amount of which will of course have to be [unclear] from the purchase money as it must be paid before a clear title can be [unclear]."
