Title

[D8822AAS], Letter from J S Wilson to Thomas Alva Edison, May 5th, 1888

Editor's Notes

"Do you not think an electrical piano, or harp, zither etc. in fact any stringed instrument would be a very feasible + useful invention. The difficulty of weak fingers could thereby be overcome, the current on strokes be increased or insulated by the switch and the lightest touch of keys cause the chords to respond by connecting the circuit. I am neigher an electrician nor musician but the idea seems so feasible that I thought to suggest it to you without obstrusion." [TAE Marginalia: "There has been such a piano made the trouble is to get quality of touch"]
