Title
[D8829AAJ], Letter from Smith (H.B.) Machine Co to Armington and Sims, November 27th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"Enclosed we hand you a copy of the letter sent to Walker & Kepler the Agents for the Edison Co., in this City which refers to a test that was made at the Drexel Building in this City. The regulation of the engines is as near perfection as it is possible to get any machine. Besides the tests that are named we have thrown the load on and off the engines, and with a tachometer attached to the engines we have been unable to detect over one revolution variation, the average of twelve tests for speed gave us 306 with full load and 307 with no load." Yours truly, H.B. Smith Machine Co. W.J. Kerr.
