"Attached bills from Mr. Edison for Labor and Material amounting to $50.68 Mr. Jenks does not know anything about the experiments referred to and they were not made in connection with the standardizing [unclear]. ### I am unable to voucher the bills without some [unclear] and as I presume it will be necessary to ask Mr. Edison for an explanation I take the liberty of handing them to you with the request that you will make the necessary inquiry."
