[D8831ACH], Letter from Columbus Edison Electric Light Co, Will C Turner to Thomas Alva Edison, December 1st, 1888
Editor's Notes
"We received from your Laboratory yesterday a 10 gal carboy of zinc sulphate solution. You say in your circular letter to Odiron Companies that the densilty is 1054. At 13[degree] centigrade. We find its density considerable heavier the mark on the hydrometer standing about 1/4 inch above the solution -- our hydrometer not being graduated in cannot give you its exact density. We have [unclear] the solution by the adition of water is that the density made propertly by our hydrometer. [unclear] you made an error in the shipment of this solution, the density being too great or have [unclear] right in the addition of water, making it the proper density by our hydrometer. Or is our hydrometer graduated wrong? How often can that [unclear] good as long as the proper density is maintained? An early reply will oblige" Yours very truly, Will C. Turner
