Title
[D8832AAD], Letter from Samuel Insull to Alfred Ord Tate, August 23rd, 1888
Editor's Notes
"Referring to our telegraphic correspondence of today I enclose you copy of a letter which I addressed to Mr. Edison on the 18th. I am confident that he did not receive this, or I would have had a reply. I therefore want you to show him this letter and enclosed copy immediately he returns hom. I shall be at the Normandie-By-The-Sea over Sunday, and on my return Monday morning to New York will go right out to Orange, if Mr. Edison is home. It is about this matter that I want to see him before any one else gets hold of him. I know that Mr. Johnson will propose seeing Mr. Edison as soon as he comes home, and I am anxious to have an interview with Mr Edison before his interview with Mr. Johnson occurs. If you have shown my last telegram to you to Mr. Batchelor, he will have told you practically what I have written above. I shall be at 19 Dey Street early Saturday morning, and at the Hotel Normandie, New York, tomorrow (Friday0 evening about seven o'clock." Yours very truly, Saml Insull
