"Mr. Johnson has requested me to examine into the matter of the respective values of the various shop stocks, and the Light Co. and make up, as an arbitrator, a statement of what value should be placed upon the Lt Co's stock, if a genearl trust or consolidation is determined upon the Villard deal. Will you help matters along by sending me a balance sheet of the Machine Works,- say on January 1st. 1888, and the amounts of Book accounts wiped out against Profits.
